When Apollo 11 landed on the Moon, it was seen by a global audience of 650 million and was instantly regarded as man’s greatest achievement. What was less widely seen – and remains largely unspoken about – is that the men behind the mission were engineers of one of the darkest periods in human history, just 25 years earlier. The brains behind Nazi killing machines, like the V1 and V2 rockets, were coveted by the US in their bid to outmuscle the Soviets. Their carefully structured operation was ultimately victorious, but the full story has never been told. Until now.
